A warm welcome awaits on the third Thursday of every month in the Snug at The Lion, where you can enjoy an informal and friendly get-together. 

This month’s read is read is Wifedom by Anna Funder. The story uncovers the remarkable and often overlooked life of Eileen O’Shaughnessy, wife of George Orwell, exploring the hidden stories behind one of literature’s most famous marriages.

No time to read it? No problem! Everyone is welcome, join the conversation, listen in, or just enjoy a relaxed discussion with fellow readers.

Grab a drink, enjoy some delicious food, and share your thoughts in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
