Movie Night at the Barn – Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1920)

Visitors are invited to the Tithe Barn for a spooky screening of the classic monster movie Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Guests can relax with a bag of popcorn 🍿 and a warm seasonal drink ☕, both included in the entry fee, before enjoying this chilling tale on the big screen.

Starring John Barrymore, this classic adaptation brings to life Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 novella, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Barrymore’s portrayal of Hyde was considered so ‘ghoulish’ at the time that it was said to pose a threat to the mental and physical health of audiences, with warnings even issued about possible ‘pre-natal influences’ on expectant mothers!

Combining suspense, horror and cinematic history, this special screening offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a Halloween-inspired evening in the unique surroundings of the Tithe Barn. 🎃✨
