Autumn Talks: Murder, Sex and Mayhem in English Churches with John Vigar

John Vigar is a church historian with over 40 years of experience in teaching, lecturing and guiding. He has personally recorded over 13,000 parish churches in England and Wales and has published many books about their architecture and the treasures they contain.

John’s talk will focus on images of martyrdom in glass and murals, bawdy misericords and a vast array of monuments with their own wild stories to tell of murder and disaster.
